I received my Mirkwood bow two days ago and when I first saw it I was just a little disappointed. It just felt too lite. But I strung it up and starting playing with it and soon found my fears where wrong. This bow is really nice to shoot. I have a tricked out Lothlorien bow that I shoot and it's not nearly as smooth as this. I really love it. The hand painted elven leafing is not as impressive as the ad shows it but I still don't care. The two arrows it comes with are great for show but I would never use them. They are too heavy. I use the elven arrows sold on this site and they work great on this 40-45 pound version. I am getting good accuracy at 40 yards. So, at first, this may look like a decoration bow but don't believe it, shoot it.
