One of the best bow making glue out there. Great results if used for wood to wood applications, or fiberglass lamination bows. Be sure to mix for a solid 2 minutes. The glue will become cloudy when mixed. You must mix until the glue is clear again.
You can thicken the glue up by using our thickening agent "Cabosil" This will thicken the glue so it is not runny anymore and will allow you to fill large gaps without the glue running out. Mix cabosil after you mix part a and part b.
Apply glue to all surfaces before clamping
A clean, dry surface is a necessary prerequisite for adhesive bonding. Adhesives will stick to either the surface of which a bond is desired or that film of extraneous material directly on that surface. Rarely can a structural adhesive penetrate through surface contaminants to provide an optimum bond on an unclean surface. Therefore it is very important to clean all surfaces with acetone, denatured alcohol, or similar cleaning alcohol based solvent.
Porous materials are simple to bond, provided they are dry. The surface should be sanded till clean and free from dust. Non-porous surfaces, such as found on metal and plastic materials, should be degreased, dried and roughed by sanding, sandblasting or chemical etching. The etched or sandblasted surfaces should be covered within a few hours of treatment to prevent contamination. Handlers should wear clean gloves to prevent body oils from contaminating the clean surfaces.
For maximum bond strength, surfaces must be clean and free of any contamination. Non-porous surfaces should be abraded with a toothing plane to increase effective surface area and then be wiped clean with solvent. Epoxy adhesives do not perform well on metals such as nickel, chromium, tin, zinc nor on soft thermoplastics like polyethylene.
